How to Bid in Our Auctions

Step 1: Register to Bid

  • To participate in live auctions, create an account on the Rumnicoin website.
  • Provide the following details:
    • Full name
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • Email address
  • First-time users will be assigned a bidding limit of £2,500.
  • To increase your bidding limit, submit a written request to contact@rumnicoin.com, providing credible references.

Step 2: Understand the Bid Increments
Bids during live auctions will follow these increments:

  • £0–£100: £5 increments
  • £100–£200: £10 increments
  • £200–£500: £20 increments
  • £500–£1,000: £50 increments
  • £1,000–£2,000: £100 increments
  • £2,000–£5,000: £200 increments
  • £5,000–£10,000: £500 increments
  • £10,000–£20,000: £1,000 increments
  • £20,000–£50,000: £2,000 increments
  • £50,000–£100,000: £5,000 increments
  • Over £100,000: £10,000 increments

Note: Pre-bids can include partial amounts not aligned with these increments, but they will be rounded to the nearest increment for live bidding.

Step 3: Place Pre-Bids

  • Pre-bidding is available up to one hour before the auction start time.
  • Pre-bids can be made on our website or on auction platforms such as NumisBids and Biddr.
  • You can also email your pre-bids to contact@rumnicoin.com or phone (+44) 07539 254393.
  • In the case of tied bids, the first bid received at the same value will be considered the winning bid.

Step 4: Participate in Live Bidding

  • Log in or create your Rumnicoin live auction account.
  • Place your bids using the live bidding facility on the website.

Step 5: Winning a Lot

  • When the auctioneer’s hammer falls on your bid, a binding contract is formed.
  • You agree to pay the final hammer price plus:
    • Buyer’s Premium: 15% of the hammer price (subject to change with prior notice).
    • Insurance costs (where applicable, typically 1%).
    • Shipping costs
    • Credit card and PayPal payments incur a 3% surcharge.

Step 6: Make Payment

  • All bids are legally binding and final.
  • The auctioneer reserves the right to resolve disputes, refuse bids, or adjust increments.
  • It is your responsibility to check your bidding limit and ensure it meets your requirements before the auction.
